Tart Cherry Sleep Gummies with Lavender & Chamomile

Tart cherry juice, lavender, and chamomile are three natural ingredients that can significantly enhance sleep quality. Tart cherry juice is rich in melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep cycles, making it a great choice for those seeking restful slumber. Lavender is known for its calming aroma, which can help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation when used in essential oils or herbal tea. Chamomile, often consumed as a soothing tea, possesses mild sedative properties that can further ease tension and encourage a peaceful night's sleep. Together, these ingredients create a powerful trio for enhancing overall sleep wellness. These gummies are ok for the whole family!

Ingredients:

1 cup water

1 tablespoon lavender buds

1 tablespoon chamomile flowers

1/2 cup Tart Cherry Juice or mix with juice of choice (pineapple, orange)

3 tablespoons gelatin

3-4 tablespoons honey or to taste

Directions:

  • Begin by preparing a your lavender and chamomile tea. Place the chamomile and lavender flowers and buds in a heatproof container and pour 1 cup of boiling water over the herbs. Cover and let the mixture steep for about 10 minutes.

  • While the tea is steeping, pour 1/4 cup of cold water into a small bowl or measuring cup. Add the gelatin and stir well. Let it sit for about 5 minutes. This allows the gelatin to absorb the water and “bloom,” ensuring a smooth texture in the final gummies.

  • Once the tea has finished steeping, strain to remove the herbs. 

  • In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup of the prepared herbal tea with the tart cherry juice. 

  • Add the honey (or your chosen sweetener) and gelatin liquid. Gently warm the mixture over low heat and stir gently until the honey and gelatin are fully dissolved and the liquid is smooth.

  • Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a small, shallow dish. Use a dropper or small pitcher for precision if needed.

  • Place the molds in the refrigerator. Leave the gummies to cool and set for at least 1-2 hours. If using a dish, you can cut the mixture into small squares once set.

  • Once firm, remove the gummies from the molds and transfer them to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy one or two gummies before bed to help promote relaxation and restful sleep.

Dosage:

Kids 2-5 take 1-2 gummies an hour before bed

Kids 6-12 take 2-3 gummies an hour before bed

Adults and kids 12+ take 3 gummies an hour before bed
