Blueberry Green Tea

My kids and I made some cute little heart ice cubes to accent the beautiful pink blueberry green tea.

I enjoy a cold glass of green tea but don’t care for many brands that include “natural flavors”. It makes the taste very unrealistic and almost addictive. “Natural” flavors also are very UNnatural and can be made up of hundreds of chemicals to achieve the desired flavor, but that’s a post for another day. So, I made my blueberry green tea using organic green tea, frozen blueberries, local honey, and fresh lemon juice. This is great hot or iced!

Refreshing Blueberry Green Tea Recipe

Looking for a delightful beverage to lift your spirits? This Blueberry Green Tea is not only refreshing but also packed with antioxidants, making it an excellent choice for your well-being. Here’s a simple recipe to create this delicious drink using all-natural ingredients you can easily find.

Ingredients:

  • 3 organic green tea packets

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries or any berry of choice

  • 3 cups water

  • Lemon to taste

  • Honey to taste

Instructions:

  1. Boil Water: Start by bringing 3 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan or kettle.

  2. Brew the Tea: Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 3 organic green tea packets. Let the tea steep for about 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer it.

  3. Add Blueberries: While your tea is steeping, take the frozen blueberries and add them to a separate container. You can choose to mash them slightly for an extra burst of flavor or leave them whole for a prettier presentation.

  4. Combine: After the tea has steeped, remove the tea packets and pour the hot tea over the blueberries in the container. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, letting the flavors infuse.

  5. Sweeten and Flavor: Once it has cooled slightly, add lemon juice to taste—this brightens the flavor beautifully. Then, drizzle in honey according to your personal preference for sweetness. Stir well to combine.

  6. Chill or Serve Warm: You can serve this drink hot or let it cool and refrigerate for a refreshing iced version. If you choose to have it iced, simply pour over a glass filled with ice.

  7. Garnish (Optional): For a lovely touch, garnish with a few whole blueberries and a lemon slice.

Enjoy!

This Blueberry Green Tea offers a harmonious blend of subtle earthy green tea and the fruity sweetness of blueberries, all while providing a refreshing experience. Perfect for any time of day, you can sip on it during a casual afternoon or serve it at your next gathering. Enjoy the benefits of nature’s goodness in each flavorful cup!
